This week we’re tackling down the INVERTED TRIANGLE. That’s right below is a new episode of FashionStylista TV where I give you advice on how to dress your body shape if you are an inverted triangle. If you missed last week don’t forget to check out the rectangular body shape episode.
Well, first step is you need to know if you’re an inverted triangle and how do we do this? Basically we need to measure your shoulders, bust, waist and hips and this goes for anyone who is trying to figure out which body shape you are.
Remember there are 5 major body shapes:
- HOUR GLASS
- INVERTED TRIANGLE
- APPLE AND
Now after measuring yourself if your shoulders and bust are the wider than your hips, you are an inverted triangle.
So what does this mean? This means you have amazing assets to accentuate so let’s get started.
Your waist. When shopping for jackets, coats or tops try and find items that have a nipped-in waist and flared bottom, this way it defines the waist and has a flare over the hips and it creates the illusion of a lower-body curves and it will help balance out your broad shoulders.
PEPLUM, GATHERED TOPS, DO NOT USE SHOULDER PADS OR CAPED SLEEVES, DO USE TOPS WITH BELL SLEEVES, V-NECK TOPS, STRAPLESS, EMPIRE WAIST-TOPS
JEANS W/ WHISKERS, FLARED JEANS, PEPLUM SKIRTS, SKIRTS OR PANTS WITH HEAVY POCKETS OR EMBELLISHMENTS THESE BOTTOMS WILL ADD MORE VOLUME TO YOUR BODY AND MAKE YOU LOOK MORE BALANCED.
