Do you like my title? Out of the closet and I’m not talking gay! lol …. well, I wanted to share my joy over finding my old coat.
A very long time ago when I worked in San Francisco as a legal assistant (I’m talking about 10-11 years ago) during the winter season there were always fabulous discounts and deals and often during lunch time instead of eating, I would run with the other legal assistants to Banana Republic or other stores to see what we could get on sale and one day I hit the jack pot. I found this beautiful pink coat for less than $100 maybe even less than $80. I fell in love with the style, very clean and classic, it was one of those investment pieces that you know you can wear year after year. The coat fits a little below below my knees which is great, since I’m a little over 5ft, and if you can see the in the back it has a belt around my waist which really helps to show my figure, if it didn’t have that belt I would look very much like a block. When buying a coat I always try to find one that has a belt or will hug me at the waist to show my figure.
I would wear this coat every day to work, but once I stopped working as a legal assistant and staying home I completely forgot about it until a couple of weeks ago. I was rushing out of the house to run errands and I put on my white converse, jeans, and a gray sweater from Forever21 when I walked in Audrey’s room to look for a leather jacket and saw the pink coat and decided to put it on, it was so pretty I couldn’t help, but to take a selfie in it and then of course all the outfit ideas started to pour in, so I decided to take some photos with a pair of gray knee high boots I recently ordered from Lola Shoetique. If you’re on a bit of budget this season you have to check out this online shop, it is fabulous. I’ve ordered trendy shoes before from places like Shoe Dazzle, but every shoe that I bought was made for very very narrow feet and let me tell you I do not have narrow feet. I’ve always had wide feet and also my calfs are pretty thick no stick legs here, so buying shoes and boots has always been a challenge until I found Lola Shoetique.
Below are a few of the items I wore on these images and links to help you find a similar look. Oh, I almost forgot I made a quick video for Youtube on this look, PLEASE CHECK IT OUT and give me a thumbs up or thumbs down if you enjoyed it or didn’t and let me know what you think on the comment area below.
